About Jennifer

I’m Jennifer Marie, and I’d like to share my journey of transitioning from a traditional teaching career to becoming a successful YouTuber, with two monetized YouTube channels.

After spending five years teaching English to children in schools in Spain, I craved more flexibility in my life. I began to explore different freelancing opportunities like transcription, proofreading, and eventually, voice acting. I taught myself how to audio and video edit and began to apply to freelancing jobs on Upwork.com.

Over time, my client base grew, and I was recording many voice overs for clients around the world. I also began to video edit and created screencast tutorials for several Enterprise clients. I was able to reach Top-Rated Plus status on Upwork.

In October 2019, I decided to share my freelancing experiences on YouTube. My channel, Jennifer Marie VO, focused on helping others get started in freelancing, covering topics like audio and video editing for beginners, applying to legitimate freelancing jobs, writing cover letters, graphic design, and more.

However, my passion for teaching English never faded. Recognizing a need among my audience, many of whom were non-native English speakers seeking transcription jobs, I launched a new YouTube channel, Sparkle English, in February 2020.

Both of my YouTube channels are now monetized and making me an income each month. I am passionate about education, technology, and teaching others the skills I have learned in my years of experience as a freelancer.
